Kia Vehicle Protection Platinum Coverage

Kia offers a comprehensive plan to drivers called the Kia Distinction Vehicle Protection Plan. There are five levels of coverage that you are able to choose from to help safeguard your Kia vehicle in an affordable and dependable way, and the Platinum coverage plan is the highest level. So, what does the Kia Vehicle Protection Platinum Plan cover?

The five levels of coverage are: Powertrain, Silver, Gold, Gold Plus and Platinum. Each of the different coverage plans include the following benefits:

  • Financing – you are able to include the plan’s cost in the financing of your vehicle
  • Generous Terms – you may add up to 100,000 more miles to the current mileage and up to 8 years of coverage
  • Immediate Coverage
  • Transferable Coverage – you can transfer the coverage to the new owner if you sell your car
  • Convenience – over 5,000 authorized repair centers or any licensed repair center
  • Added-Value – 24-hour Roadside Assistance, first day rental car coverage, towing and travel/lodging coverage
  • Replacement of fluids, oils, greases, lubricants and air conditioner gases that must be replaced with a covered repair

Platinum Coverage Plan

The Platinum plan offers all of the features that are in the Powertrain, Silver, Gold and Gold Plus plans. However, it then expands further to cover almost all assemblies of your Kia. The parts that are EXCLUDED in the plan include:

  • Brake linings, brake drums and rotors, disk brake pads
  • Standard transmission clutch components and assemblies
  • Airbags
  • Solar powered devices
  • Hinges, glass, lenses, sealed beams, body parts and/or panels, trim, moldings, door handles, lock cylinders, tires, wheels
  • All batteries expect Hybrid/EV/High Voltage batteries as listed under the Silver Coverage Plan
  • Light bulbs, upholstery, paint, bright metal, freeze plugs, heater and radiator hoses, exhaust system, shock absorbers
  • Audio/security or other systems not factory installed
  • Front-end alignment or wheel balancing
  • Constant velocity joint boots, safety restraint systems
  • Cell phones, radar detectors, appliances or vinyl and convertible tops
  • Mechanic adjusting brake rotor and pads
